Community Message
As a community we have a strong network of volunteers who are willing and able to help those neighbours and friends with needs and concerns.
There are plenty of volunteers on standby to provide help in all kinds of ways if you are feeling lonely or isolated
Kilburn Parish Council, Kilburn Institute, Kilburn Parochial Church Council, Kilburn Women's Institute
Community Networks
We have two Kilburn Community Support (KCS) networks which are being used to distribute messages between those in need and those able to provide support and encouragement in the Kilburn and Olstead communities. One is an email Network and the other is a WhatsApp Network. If you want to join these networks please contact support@kilburnyorks.com
The purpose and intent of this new web-page is to provide Parish Residents with links to resources and support that potentially improves our environment and sustainability. Check it out for information on Recycling, Upcycling, Water Conservation, Energy Conservation, Green Home Energy and Grants & Incentives
The purpose of this new web-page is to provide Parish residents with a map of all the house names and locations in Kilburn and High Kilburn. This map has proven invaluable when stopped by a delivery driver looking for a house in the Parish!
Locally Available Food & Beverage Including Deliveries
We have contacted several local companies and pubs who are offering to provide support to the Kilburn and Oldstead Communities in the form of food supplies and ready meals. The goal of this information is to help those who are trying to manage their level of social interaction by limiting their visits or totally avoiding to crowded shopping areas.
If you have a good experience with a supplier of outlet please send a note to support@kilburnyorks.com and we will share it with others on this page

Update on the Community Fuel Syndicate
Below is an extract from a message received by members of the Lower Swale Oil Syndicate. If anyone is not aware of the oil syndicate and would like to join or have more details, the contact for our area is Simon Le Gassicke of Coxwold, email simon.le.gassicke@gmail.com.
Quote:
It has been another very successful year for the group of oil co-operatives of which you are a member, with an annual volume now around 1.8 million litres, and a saving to members in excess of £123,000 by comparison with Boilerjuice.com, and considerably more against normal market prices. The price at the beginning of October was 24.80ppl + VAT compared with 47.87ppl at the same time last year!
You may remember that our agreement with Tate does not apply to orders placed in December (this is an incentive to order outside Tate’s busiest period), so to take advantage of the special Syndicate pricing you either need to order before the end of November, or place an order during December for delivery in January, but you do need to make it clear when ordering that it is for January delivery or you will be charged ordinary market price.
